Flower Farm Event
Join us on 8th November 2024 for a very special evening of flowers & plants, and to celebrate the release of the book Secrets from the Flower Farm. Authors, and fabulous gardeners in their own right, Rebecca Starling and Christine McCabe will be showcasing an event brimming with flowers, plants and fun here in the store at Barrow & Bench Mitre10.
Rebecca, a florist and flower farmer, will show you which plants and shrubs are not only beautiful in the garden, but which also make great cut flowers for your home. She will talk about her favourite roses, clematis, viburnums and hydrangea for cutting. The best heat and drought tolerant perennials for cut flowers, and about pruning and harvesting techniques for long, strong stems.
She will discuss planning your cutting garden for 12 months of cut flowers, heirloom and unusual varieties, and discuss her favourite garden tools, soil amendments and fertilisers to make your garden really shine. This will be an easy to follow session with loads of information about filling your home and garden with all the beauty that cut flowers bring.
